The Tea Lounge opens tomorrow!

It’s mid afternoon and we are waiting for Carrefour to open so we can buy snacks, wine and cheese for tomorrow’s big opening.

I am baking cakes and brownies, quiches, and other pastry items. Friends are coming to help. My sewing friend will see her products arranged in the shop and after a year of working on this part of the atelier, I am overjoyed at how it’s all come together.

We will sell a variety of beverages, snacks, sandwiches and vegetarian burgers to have with salad and potatoes.  In winter there will be soups, porridge and baked potatoes.

We are unusually going to be open every day. We have a little study area for us to work when it’s quiet, so we do not loose time on our other projects.

And what is this decor based on?

A sunk pirate ship washed up on a desert island. The cabinets and chairs  are from the ship and the rest is flotsam and jetsam, ropes and string, and found items. Our bar has rope woven lights, a canvas cover and little wood crates for tea and biscuits.

Now we just need to check the horizon for visitors. 🤭
