The Tea Lounge

I am not even sure I wrote a post on The Tea Lounge. But for today, as its a hectic one, I am attending a poetry/writing slam to read parts of my novel, pictures speak louder than words in this case.

The empty shell of a room is going to come alive with two themes that represent Tony and my personalities…so watch this space!

The lounge is closed for a month so we can panel out the roof for insulation and then we open for Christmas and New Year, then a final short closure to install new windows.

It’s been a fun time from opening on 11th June. Feels like years. We open every day from noon till 11pm. The call think we are crazy people as no-one else does this.

I’ve got more creative work done since we opened. Cakes take 45 minutes to bake and I am chief Baker. So I have 45 sacred minutes to paint or sew. We have a small area reserved for us, so if ots quiet, we just continue with our projects…no standing polishing glasses to kill time here!

Red. My husband panicked.  But You need to have faith in the design.

Enjoy the images and when the mezzanine finally opens, I will post.

We also moved into the Maison next door. There are photos. And oh my how good to finally at 58 years old have a proper functioning bedroom!

Husbands dressing room.
