I have managed to get my cushions and painted furniture into a lovely shop in La Souterraine, Petite Bazaar run by a lovely lady called Caroline.
It’s an excellent chance for me, as the residents do love to buy antiques and handmade crafts.
I love sewing, but having a shop to sell through and commissions too, makes the designing far more fun.
I am trying to create a style that works with country houses, traditional styles, around folkart and Delft blue and white ceramics as inspiration.

I try and upcycle old cushions, braids and buttons, and add my digital designs of my favorite birds and forest creatures. Strong combinations of colours and patterns I love, especially stripes, reds and blues.

Some of the cushions are very old, but after a good wash and press, they come up like new. I have many old Laura Ashley cushions and these are nice as they are larger in size, 50 x 50cm; but the short bolster styles is very popular.
So I try to make about 12 a month and so far, sales are going well.
I also take commissions. 🤗

Those pillows are so very darling in a million ways, no wonder they are flying off the shelves!

Hi, thankyou. I have wanted to make cushions for ages and it’s such a joy working out the colours and layout. I zm probably going to start an online shop too. X
