New beginnings

It’s been a wonderful last 10 months with the Tea Lounge. It was successful. People loved the cakes, the food, the long opening hours from midday to eleven in the evening and that we were open every day.

But we still had pressing long term projects. Tony music and myself, art and writing.  My children’s stories are progressing and my pirate novel has become a volatile monster. The research is a delight but takes time. I have six parts and forty-two characters to wring out a swashbuckling adventure, passing from Siberia, through Barbary and the Caribbean.

But, I still sew and have a lovely friend who wants to help me run a craft attelier. The Tea Lounge had a small area with products but we have outgrown it. Time to upscale.

With a lot of furniture moving, floor painting and upcycling old drawers and a piano, we are almost ready to ‘dress’ the shop with handmade goods, paintings, bags, aprons and jewellery.

Our new logo

Our little attelier has been named “Cou-Cou”, a welcoming sound the French say when they come and visit.  And the logo had to have a goose!

More to come.  🧵

The old piano has a new role.
